Hi Karen. Are you from Cincinnati? I tried to find out about this kind of mettwurst and what I found was that in Cincinnati, they make it like a kielbasa, which is the style that you are after. No, I couldn't find a recipe for this style. You may have to substitute kielbasa for the mettwurst. Couldn't find it on Google or Yahoo or any other of my fav sausage sites. True mettwurst is spreadable. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
