I made some sausage up last night and have come across a problem. When I am pushing on the handle of the stuffer to push the sausage into the casing, the plunger part of the stuffer doesn't completely fill the stuffer so sausage oozes over the plunger instead of going into the casing. The meat was cold, right out of the fridge. Not sure if that mattered. It might have been a little to ground up, some of it seemed more like mush than ground meat. So i ended up wrapping the plunger part in a lot of saran wrap so it would fill the stuffer completely which worked to some extent. Any suggestions.
